About

Ursel is a freelance Creative Director Art based in Berlin with roots in photography.

She believes every visual should start with an idea. That’s why she develops concept-driven campaigns with a strong focus on visual storytelling across film, photography, online, social, print, OOH and PR. Starting with a human insight, she crafts work that is emotionally engaging and culturally relevant.

Over the past 20+ years, she has worked at some of Germany's leading creative agencies, including Serviceplan Group, la red, antoni, Heimat TBWA, Grey Worldwide and Ogilvy. She has created work for clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Sneakers Magazine, Lufthansa, Lidl International, fritz-kola, Eurowings, Jägermeister Global, Das Handwerk, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Deichmann, Pringles, Golden Toast, Stollwerck, Procter & Gamble, Ford and Johnson & Johnson.

Her work has won multiple awards at Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, ADC, ADCE, Cresta, LIA, Eurobest, The Webby Awards and many more. In 2021, she became a member of ADC Germany and The Drum named her one of the "39 Most Awarded Art Directors Worldwide“. She also sits on national and international juries awarding other people’s work.

Today, she is particularly interested in projects across lifestyle, fashion, beauty, culture, travel and food & beverage. Outside of commercial work, she enjoys collaborating with photographers, filmmakers and other creatives on personal projects, always exploring new ideas and outstanding visuals.
